Recently, I broke up with my boyfriend because our parents thought that we would do no good for each other. They expected that one of us will get out of the way just to be with the other. I thought that was normal until my boyfriend’s parents were alarmed to have known that he was not going in class just to see me. I was horrified at the idea of being the reason for him to fail his subjects and ultimately his family. I had no choice but to break up with him since our parents had already planned to part our ways. No break up is not heartbreaking especially if there was no serious reason between you which resulted to a conflict to result to indifference. I was sent away to study in another state just to make sure that we did not ever meet again. They set an ultimatum that if he and I studies well, we could get back together sooner. It just seemed impossible to make him wait that long. Not all men are patient enough to wait for a girl. I cried everyday to make me feel lighter somehow. I watched romantic movies a lot to find that there are real people like me who experience the same thing. It was a part of my healing. I looked everywhere to find old and new movie releases. Soon enough I got over it and tried to focus on my future. Maybe someday, if we were meant to be, we will be together.
